Big Block Chevy-V-8-powered Smart Car

Not bike related but still fun..

V-8-powered Smart Car Drag Racing

Quoted from Motortrend:

It's often said that the one way to make any car better is to squeeze a Chevy V-8 under the hood. One Smart ForTwo owner took that to heart. We've seen Hayabusa-powered Smart ForTwos before, but this Smart owner decided to mix things up a bit by squeezing a big block Chevrolet V-8 into the pint-sized city car and taking it to the drag strip.

We're not sure how this Smart ForTwo owner fit a big block Chevy V-8 into his ForTwo, but we certainly applaud him for it. From the looks of the video, the big block V-8 is mounted transversely in the rear of the ForTwo, likely making the cockpit one very loud place to be. The custom Smart ForTwo is also fitted with what appears to be massive drag radials in back, skinny tires up front, and a big wheelie bar to keep the added power and short-wheelbase in check. In the video below, the Smart ForTwo slowly rolls up to the drag strip, its new V-8 emitting a menacing noise. Once at the line, the V-8-powered Smart revs, dumps the clutch, and flies down the drag strip. Check out the custom Chevy-powered Smart ForTwo in the video below.
